Job Summary

This position is for academic and operational support for the School of Performing and Visual Arts. The is position is an essential first point of contact for students and faculty within the school and for the public and university communities. This is a part-time, temporary position for 19 hours per week for up to six months.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as academic support for the school too include, but not limited to, corresponding with current and prospective students, preparing and sending necessary student forms, and maintaining files.

  • Assist with student scheduling needs.

  • Assist with room reservations.

  • Provide general a dministrative support for the Director.

  • F ill in where necessary for other staff.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in an educational office setting. Previous staff experience at University of Southern Mississippi preferred. Undergraduate degree required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
