This drafter will be designing steel parts for the aviation hangars. All design and fabrication is done in house so the drafters can actually see the models come to life. They truly take everything from a sketch through production.

Currently they have a couple of members that are not hitting approval times and are caught on their phones and internet constantly. Integrity, honesty, initiative and willingness to learn are the most important things that we need to verify. Also, looking for someone that is very quality focused to reduce re-work or errors in production. Need someone with good mathematic skills for quoting. Wants someone who can do the algebra of the dimensions to turn around a quote in a few minutes rather than do the whole CAD drawing to compute the dimensions that would take a couple hours. Excel skills are very important too. Need someone that can create an excel sheet and set up formulas. Looking for a mid to advanced excel user.

This Drafter will be taking sketches or customer ideas and draft them to specification making sure that all dimensions are perfect for manufacturing. Strong mathematical and algebra skills are key for this. Will be using autoCAD to draft. Will send 6 out of the 8 hour days in CAD actually drafting. Need this person to visualize what needs to be done from a front, read and side view and put it into CAD. will also be working with BOMs in Excel. Strong skills are highly preferred and would be an asset on the team. If the candidate has Inventor or 3D experience that would be a plus. Not something they use often but may in the future.
