Aerotek Pipe Welder/fitter in Hartville, Ohio

Pipe Welder (6G) | 1st shift (6:30-4:30) Mon-Thur & OT Fridays | $24-$32/hour | Hartville, OH (All on-site)

Description

  • Perform MIG/TIG 6G pipe welding

  • Receive jobs for the day and work under a hood

  • Welding 1/2 inch up to 72 inches in diameter (majority of work is up to 30 inches in diameter)

  • Welding 1/8 up to 3 inch thick pipes

  • Welding carbon pipe, alloy pipe, stainless (P91 chrome)

  • Use angle/die grinders to grind out tacks and to finish welds

  • Use 10-ton overhead cranes to move pipes throughout the facility

  • Perform welds while interpreting blueprints

  • Weld on stainless steel, Mild steel, Carbon steel, Chrome alloys, etc.

  • Fabricate welds using pulse, short arc, and spray modes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have 4+ years Mig or Tig welding on Pipe with Stainless or Carbon Steel

Experienced and proficient with GMAW-MIG

Must have experience welding carbon steel, low alloy steel (grades 11, 22, 91) stainless steel (304, 316)

Must-Have - Blueprint reading experience

Must-Have good work history and attendance

Must-Have experience in a similar industry: Pipe welding, mfg nozzles, tanks, vessles, oil/petroleum industry, etc.

Must-Have experience with overhead cranes

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
