Job Description

An employer is seeking a Sr IT Project Manager to join their team in Hartford, CT. This position will primarily be remote but may require occasional travel on-site. This position is open because they are kicking off a new project to build out a new state office facility called the Opportunity Center which will be a centralized space for multiple departments to utilize and work collaboratively in. The Sr IT PM will have oversight of the technical solution including the technical and project documentation, and State and Federal compliance while working collaboratively with the business and technical stakeholders. The Sr IT PM will be responsible for providing oversight, guidance, and direction to project staff for appropriate planning, development, and implementation of this office buildout and overall system consolidation and implementation effort. They will be responsible for ensuring proper development and maintenance of integrated project schedules, and risk/issue logs. They will handle project decision-making as needed and escalate necessary issues. This project is currently underway with the research phase and there are two possible locations being vetted for this new location. This IT PM will help with finalizing this selection and work on phase 2 of the project for the facility build out and the application implementation portion of this move. The Sr IT PM will do a comparison and analysis of the current Salesforce solution being used, as well as other technologies used by the departments to understand what the best software solution will be to utilize on an enterprise level. The 3rd phase of the project will be focused on change management, identifying how this effort will move forward and be successful.

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of experience as a Project Manager working on both IT/Application Development and Infrastructure projects

Experience working on a consolidation or new implementation effort

Experience with Salesforce

Previously utilized a PPM tool, Monday.com a plus

Ability to help implement change management best practices Previously worked for a state agency or department null
