Robert Half Purchase & Sales Specialist in Hartford, Connecticut
Description We are seeking a Purchase & Sales Specialist to join our team in EAST HARTFORD, Connecticut. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the supply chain industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including order entry, data entry, quoting, pricing, negotiations, and sales support.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer orders
• Keep precise records of customer data
• Generate and provide quotes to customers
• Assist with pricing strategies and negotiations
• Provide support to the sales team
• Actively participate in supply chain operations
• Resolve customer inquiries in a detail oriented manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proven experience as a Purchase & Sales Specialist or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Order Entry and related software
• Strong understanding of supply chain procedures
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to interpret and analyze purchase and sales data
• Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
• Ability to work with different departments and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
