Position Summary
CVS Health is seeking a Risk Manager to join our Interoperability Office team and oversee the risk management activities for our expanding programs around Interoperability, Strategic Platforms, Transparency in Coverage, and No Surprises Act. Reporting to the Lead Director of the Interoperability Office Command Center, this role involves the management and mitigation of program risks. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure program risks are identified, tracked, communicated, and managed. This role will also manage the disaster recovery plans for all our Interoperability assets and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Identification:
Identifying potential risks that could impact the organization's goals, operations, and reputation.
Risk Assessment:
Evaluating the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks.
Risk Mitigation:
Developing and implementing strategies to reduce or eliminate identified risks.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Tracking the effectiveness of risk management strategies and reporting on risk exposures and mitigation efforts.
Creating key performance indicators to monitor risks and issues.
Communication and Training:
Communicating risk information to stakeholders and providing training on risk management procedures.
Compliance:
Ensuring that the organization is complying with relevant regulations and industry standards related to risk management.
Implementing documentation standards across program for internal and external audit readiness and development of policies and procedures.
Monitoring and tracking state legislative activity and triage to appropriate leaders when applicable.
Data Analysis:
Analyzing data and trends to identify potential risks and assess the effectiveness of risk management strategies.
Transforming data and visualization to better communicate risk levels.
Developing and Implementing Risk Management Frameworks:
Designing, building, and implementing an entity's risk management framework and developing the entity's capability to manage risk.
Collaborating with workstream leaders to implement regulations and ensures controls are built into new processes.
Developing controls, audit logs, and standard reporting requirements to ensure operational readiness.
Record Retention:
Identifying potential risks that could impact the organization's goals, operations, and reputation.
Contingency Planning:
Creating plans to address potential risks and ensure business continuity in case of unforeseen events.
Managing organization disaster recovery and contingency plans.
Required Qualifications
Prior experience as a risk manager or in a similar role
5+ years managed care / health insurance industry experience, project management and supervisory experience.
Solid knowledge of risk management principles
Excellent Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Demonstrated negotiation skills.
Excellent mathematical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience working in Tableau and other databases.
Proven track record managing complex projects and or programs that resulted in risk mitigation and/or cost savings.
Multiple years proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a qualified Risk Management Professional (CRMP).
Experience writing SQL queries.
Six Sigma experience.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
