[JOB OPPORTUNITY: Hospitalist [Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. seeks eight full-time Hospitalists in Hartford, CT to: provide comprehensive clinical care in an inpatient setting to adult patients with diseases and injuries; admit patients under hospital patient acceptance policy; provide Hospitalist services to patients admitted to hospital medicine services or being consulted on by hospital medicine services; deliver documentation in the written and electronic record consistent with the hospital's ongoing clinical documentation and communication quality metric programs; work with emergency department physicians to assure effective and transition of patients and with specialty services to assure highest quality of care and consultation to and from other specialty services; work with referring physicians from the community to optimize patient care; help develop new systems to achieve highest measures of care quality and resource utilization; provide leadership in committees, task forces and other areas related to inpatient care and patient transition; attend regularly scheduled meetings related to hospital medicine.

[The minimum requirements for the Hospitalist position are: [a U.S. M.D. or D.O. degree or its foreign equivalent; completion of a three-year residency in internal medicine or family medicine; board eligibility or certification in internal medicine or in family medicine; and the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
