Location: 1205 South 28th St, Harrisburg, PA 17111

Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is currently looking for a full time Senior Medicaid Specialist! This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, and case management, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements of the Senior Medicaid Specialist:

  • Knowledge of medicaid process for application and renewals

  • Prior Medicaid billing and processing experience

  • Must have knowledge of Medicare.

  • Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within skilled nursing facilities.

  • Strong understanding of discharge planning, case management, and behavioral health principles.

  • Must be computer literate (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills).

  • Familiarity with medical records management and medical coding practices is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities of the Senior Medicaid Specialist:

  • Conduct comprehensive discharge planning for patients to facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home or other care settings.

  • Maintain and manage accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective case management strategies tailored to individual patient needs.

  • Utilize medical coding knowledge to ensure proper documentation and billing processes are followed.

  • Serve as a point of contact for patient services, addressing inquiries and concerns while promoting a positive patient experience.

  • Stay updated on the latest developments in medical terminology and healthcare practices to enhance service delivery.
