DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Regulatory Enforcement Inspector, primary focus of your work is the physical inspection of barber shops, cosmetology salons, real estate offices, and vehicle dealerships. In this position, you will help ensure public health and safety through field inspection work to determine compliance with laws, rules, and regulations regarding professional and occupational licensing and other areas under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Work also includes issuing citations when appropriate violations are found, providing limited investigative support activities, and keeping information confidential as necessary.

With this position, you will travel to conduct periodic inspections of all affected professions and occupations by observation and interviews, noting any deviation from established standards, and preparing reports to communicate findings. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. This position requires travel. The Harrisburg Regional Office (HRO) is looking to provide inspection coverage in Lebanon and Berks Counties. The majority of this position is field work, and inspectors are required to provide inspection coverage in other counties as needed. The regional office for HRO is in Harrisburg and the inspectors are required to report to the office on designated days of the month for meetings and training. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience involving interpersonal public contact and inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations and reporting related facts; or An Associate's Degree and one year of experience involving interpersonal public contact and inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations and reporting related facts; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which included one year of experience involving interpersonal public contact and inspecting for compliance with rules and regulations and reporting related facts.
