CHS, Inc has a opportunity to join our team as an Inventory Analyst! From grain to propane, chemicals or feed, this position will provide knowledge of our inventory, products and services offerings while assessing inventory compliance/procedures, safety, and financial reporting. Additionally, you will act as a key partner to prepare trainings and guidance on how to identify risks, while leading best practice solutions to management and personnel. Responsibilities
With assistance utilize standard processes and procedures to ensure timely elimination of non-productive inventory, effective warehouse/elevator/terminal capacity utilization, and master data accuracy.
Verify various bulk and non-bulk inventories.
Estimate quantities on-hand, assess average cost and quality and verify physical matches book inventory quantities according to the department procedures.
Achieve a high level of accuracy in the physical measurement and estimation of these products.

Achieve a base level of understanding of inventory management capabilities and the multitude of products offered including their use, value, marketability and potential obsolescence.
Assist in the preparation and peer review of inventory event planning, analytic, fieldwork, wrap up work papers and documentation.
Gain proficiency of the department inventory processes and procedures including enterprise and regulatory requirements.
Participate in department due diligence for acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures.
Assist in special projects as needed.
Achieve a base level understanding of the safety risks by conducting walk throughs and inspections, completing safety checklists and recording non-compliance issues.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures and regulations.
Identify and communicate workplace hazards. Correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions in the workplace that are not compliant with policies and regulations.
Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
High School diploma or GED
Knowledge of Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Inventory Analysis
Additional Qualifications
Ability to travel 50%-75%
Proficient in MS Office suite, including working database knowledge
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business or Science, Business Administration or Accounting/Finance, Materials & Logistics Management
