Reference #: 4436994 THE POSITION The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a professional Information Technology Technician in the Enterprise Integration Quality Assurance and Testing Division. In this position you will work as a technical support specialist for the mobile and telecommunication devices, which are distributed across more than 600 sites throughout the state.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK An Information Technology Technician will participate in the selection, configuration, and testing of mobile devices. The person in this position supports, maintains, administers, and enhances mobile devices and telecommunication systems throughout PLCB. This position shares statewide responsibility for adhering to various parameters set by the PLCB, for hardware and supporting software. The person in the position is the primary backup for the PLCB Telecommunications Management Officer.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the Northwest Office Building on the day before Board meeting dates once every two to three weeks, and as operational needs dictate. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as an IT Help Desk Technician (commonwealth title); or One year of experience providing IT support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance and completion of a one-year apprenticeship in the IT technical support field; or Two years of experience providing IT support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance; or An associate degree in an IT field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation.  An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.  Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
