DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This Information Technology Generalist Administrator 2 position is the manager of the Executive Software Section that supports essential Pennsylvania enterprises that are exclusively on an IBM mainframe operating system including PennDOT, Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED), PA Emergency Management Agency (PEMA). This position supervises a staff that is responsible for the department's inventory of mainframe executive software products, provides training, and ensures staff can achieve objectives with optimum performance and configuration. The incumbent confers with management about the department's information system goals and objectives, fulfills administrative and supervisory responsibilities to support the team, and performs a variety of project management responsibilities. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1, Senior Applications Developer, Database Administrator 1, Data Administrator 1, Information Security Specialist 2, or Network Administrator 1; or Six years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or Four years of information technology experience that includes three years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or Two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, an a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

This particular position also requires possession of three or more years of full-time professional experience working in an IBM Mainframe Environment. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
