DESCRIPTION OF WORK This customer service-oriented position provides transactional HR support to commonwealth agencies and processing HR work requests.  Work requests are received in a queue and processed in our SAP payroll system to ensure employees are paid correctly, organizations are defined correctly in our HR systems, supervisory relationships are assigned correctly, and employee statuses are kept current.  Written and verbal communication with agency HR offices is often required to ensure timely and accurate processing of HR transactions.

Work in the HR Service Center is dynamic and fast paced.  Staff primarily telework in this division and are required to report to the Harrisburg office one day per month.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, limited term. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. We primarily work from home and come into the office one day a month which is the second Wednesday of every month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a Human Resource Assistant 1; or

Two years of clerical or other comparable experience, one year of which involved performance of limited technical duties in the field of human resource work; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
