If so, the Human Services Human Resource Office, Employee Relations and Workforce Support Division is looking for you! We are seeking an experienced individual who knows their way around Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and possesses the ability to coordinate meetings and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Assistant 1, you will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Employee Relations and Workforce Support Division. Within this role, it is imperative to exercise independent judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential and sensitive information pertaining to contract negotiations, employee discipline, FMLA, time and attendance, and other related matters within the division.

You will evaluate requests for union business leave and related administrative leave requests in addition to assisting the coordinator in resolving issues associated with such requests in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the various negotiated collective bargaining agreements and memoranda of understanding.

Provide valuable support to the Labor Relations Analysts in the Labor Relations Section by researching previous case outcomes, scheduling grievance review meetings with management panel members, assisting with the coordination of staff and witness attendance at accelerated grievance procedure AGP committee meetings and arbitration hearings, answering questions about meeting logistics, and updating hearing dockets as cases progress toward final adjudication.

You will also assist in managing the Grievance Discipline Tracking System GDTS and inputting Grievance Procedure Outcomes in the system, as well as assisting field staff with the use of the GDTS system to track and manage their grievance activity.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full-time employment

Work hours are 800 AM to 430 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Work schedule is negotiable within the office's business hours.

Paid parking is available.

Telework You may have the opportunity to work from home telework part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
