DESCRIPTION OF WORK In your role as an Intern, you will play a crucial part in conducting research and ensuring the accuracy of the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) recordation and nomination process. Specifically, you will focus on the Carbaugh Run Rhyolite Quarry Site, Carbaugh Run Sites, Snaggy Ridge Sites, and other related rhyolite and quarry resources. Your responsibilities will involve gathering information, updating records, and contributing to the preservation and documentation of these significant historical sites.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment The employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor, so they are in the office on the same days.  No full time telework will be approved.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors: Archaeology Anthropology Geology Enrollment in an approved major course at an accredited college or university may be acceptable. Freshman year completed Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
