DESCRIPTION OF WORK The PAPUC (Electric Safety Division) is searching for engineers who will be trained in electric distribution safety. This field engineering position mainly focuses on electric distribution safety however, experience in other engineering fields can be beneficial. You will start your day from your home-headquarters and will be provided a vehicle, phone, and training. This challenging engineering position inspects electric distribution facilities throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Every day will be a new experience.

The Electric Safety Division inspects, audits and monitors electric distribution facilitates and activities in all 67 counties of Pennsylvania. Additionally, the Electric Safety Division responds to and investigates electric contact incidents and complaints. You will work as a team member. The position is part of an Investigation and Enforcement bureau of the PAPUC.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. THIS POSITION REQUIRES DAILY TRAVEL. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the training program for an Electrical Engineer Trainee; or One year of professional electrical engineering experience which required work on any structural electrical system, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or One year of professional electrical engineering experience which required work on any structural electrical system; and a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering.

Additional Requirement: Candidates must reside in one or be willing to relocate to Alleghany, Armstrong, Butler, Cameron, Center, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrance, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango, or Warren County within 6 months of employment.
