DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for addressing a wide range of inquiries related to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), the Bureau of Driver Licensing (BDL), and other relevant areas of PennDOT. Your main objective will be to provide accurate and comprehensive information to the public, while maintaining a positive image of PennDOT and delivering exceptional customer service. You will need to handle complex information, utilize available resources, and exercise independent judgment to ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Additionally, you must possess the ability to use discretion and judgment when sharing information that could potentially be misunderstood or misused. In this position you will process and compose e-mails and other correspondence utilizing knowledge of proper English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation for the purpose of writing or adjusting written materials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework and alternate work schedules (AWS) are unavailable. Employees in these positions may be required to work during authorized office closings. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience using a PC or laptop. Experience using Microsoft computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Prior call center experience. Prior customer service experience. Prefer candidates that are bilingual.
