DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This Business Analyst 2 (BA) position in Information Technology (IT) for the Deputy Secretary of Business Operations in the Department of General Services (DGS) plays a pivotal role in facilitating the efficient operation of IT projects and systems within the department. The incumbent will work in concert with the Office of Administration (OA) IT to serve DGS's needs. This position aims to improve the department's processes, reduce costs, and align systems through a combination of requirement gathering, project management, knowledge of application tools, equipment, and subscription management. The BA will assist the Deputy to ensure systems and structures are in place for onboarding and offboarding staff and that department and employee needs are met. This position also collaborates with external venders and internal teams, oversees and participates in the testing of IT solutions, and is at the forefront of effective, efficient change for our department. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Work hours and telework days are flexible and will be discussed at time of interview to align with business hours and needs. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Business Analyst 1; or One year as an Information Technology Trainee; or Five years of business process analysis experience; or One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
