Job Title: Automation Technician
Job Description
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery in the plant with a focus on programming and instrumentation. Assist maintenance technicians with repairs on production equipment and maintain PLC/HMI for process equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and materials handling equipment.
Assist maintenance technicians with repairs on production equipment.
Maintain and update PLC/HMI for process equipment, including programming, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair production printers, labelers, and date-coding equipment.
Work with equipment vendors to set up and install new or updated coding applications.
Develop and maintain a library of default equipment and motor drive settings.
Maintain an inventory of PLC components using computerized maintenance management software.
Perform repairs and maintenance on robotic palletizers and scanning equipment.
Update obsolete instrumentation with modern replacements.
Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and engineering drawings.
Suggest improvements in work methods and procedures.
Initiate purchase orders or work orders for parts, tools, and machines.
Communicate equipment, machinery, ingredient, or product issues clearly and immediately to supervisors.
Maintain an understanding of the flow of work on the production floor.

Experience with Allen Bradley equipment
Maintaining older equipment
Machining skills
Documentation and computer work
Trade School Degree or certifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.71 - $25.71/hr.
