DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The DAG is looking to fill one Auditor 1 position within the Bureau of Performance Audits.  The Auditor 1 position participates in conducting performance audits of Commonwealth agencies, state-owned institutions, and school districts, as well as other special projects, as assigned by management.  Under the direction of an audit supervisor, an Auditor 1 completes assigned work in accordance with applicable professional standards, laws, and regulations, and in accordance with the department-specific and bureau-specific policies and procedures.

Workduties include, but are not limited to: Researching, learning, and applying laws, regulations, guidelines, and auditing standards Creating, inputting, accessing, and retrieving data, including but not limited to audit work papers, audit findings, and audit/administrative reports Locating, evaluating, and analyzing records and other information Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You will be expected to work from home (telework) full-time.  You must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. QUALIFICATIONS Degree from accredited college or university with at least 12 credits in accounting/auditing; or An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in accounting, auditing, or a closely related field.

Additional Requirements: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): One or more of the following certificates: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Certified Government Financial Manager (CIA) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
