DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Accountant 1, you will have the opportunity support the sales audit and reconciliation process for much of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's $2.5 billion revenue stream. With our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding agency assets through a diligent review of transactional data and applying various accounting functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the Northwest Office Building on Board meeting dates once every two to three weeks and as operational needs dictate such as in-person meetings and/or trainings.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Technician, and fifteen college credits in accounting; or Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program; or One year as a Financial Programs Trainee;or Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting; or A Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
