SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing exceptional frontline client interaction to the LTBB community. Serve as the first point of contact for transportation and assist patients in navigating barriers to healthcare in our community to connect them to the required services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and fellow employees, and represent LTBB Health Department professionally and positively.
  • Responsible for ensuring that patients receive exemplary customer service and are treated with respect and in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for transportation services within the LTBB Health Clinic.
  • Monitor transportation requests and driving schedules; deploy transportation resources efficiently.
  • Oversee transport representatives to ensure vehicles are stocked with supplies and sanitized after each patient.
  • Ensures schedule for car detailing and washing as described in policy.
  • Scheduled vehicle maintenance as needed per vehicle, as established by the contractor.
  • Become knowledgeable about the transportation software used for client transport and train others on the software as necessary.
  • Document assessment using the R.P.M.S./E.H.R. system, report to the clinic nurse manager, and collaborate in the development of a client-centered plan of care.
  • Support communication between employees in the field and clinical services where appropriate.
  • Rotate with transportation representatives, provide transportation services, and support clients in accessing healthcare in our community.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of program services available to Tribal Citizens through LTBB Government programs and outside agencies.
  • Advocate between the client and health services. Collaborate with other health care agencies and LTBB departments to identify and assist in navigating barriers to health care services.
  • Reports to the clinic nurse manager about transportation needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the health clinic manager, in compliance with LTBB policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED is required, as well as a certified nursing assistant or medical assistant certification. A minimum of three years of work experience is required, where frontline customer service and working with computer programs are part of the position. Must have experience answering phones and multitasking in a detail-oriented, fast-paced work environment. Prefer experience in health-related services. Must possess current BLS certification.
