Robert Half Controller in Hampton, Virginia

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Hampton, Virginia. The Controller will act as a strategic partner to the management team, focusing on maintaining compliance, boosting profitability, and enhancing free cash flow. This role involves directing the operations of Information Systems, Procurement, and Accounting to ensure sufficient manufacturing systems, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of improvement opportunities for the business.

• Collaborate with plant leadership to achieve targeted goals in quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization, and profitability.

• Deploy business unit initiatives, analyze and plan business results, and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.

• Analyze data for informed decision-making and monitor performance progress.

• Coordinate the capital appropriation process and conduct post-project reviews.

• Supervise a team of finance professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Manage and implement efficient daily management, forecasting, and budgeting systems, tools, and processes.

• Accurately forecast and plan results to meet the expectations of shareholders and stakeholders.

• Review financial statements and account reconciliations, taking corrective action as needed.

• Provide financial leadership for the evaluation of projects, plans, and investments. Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role and manufacturing experience.

• Proficiency in preparing the annual budget.

• Capability to handle budgeting and forecasting tasks.

• Expertise in balance sheet account reconciliation.

• Proven experience in account reconciliation.

• Ability to maintain fixed asset records.

• Strong skills in analyzing financial statements.

• Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.

• Proficiency in financial statement preparation. in manufacturing
