As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will work on transportation infrastructure and facility related construction projects. This is an immediate opportunity to work on the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey for a project currently in progress. Other project assignments may include locations throughout New Jersey.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities are conducting field inspections and documentation of construction operations. This requires knowledge of construction practices, familiarity with the construction documents and ability to perform inspections of various construction operations under direction of the resident engineer.
A portion of time will be spent at the construction site or field office managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, reviewing plans and specifications for the construction operations being performed, reporting field site results and on-going information to construction managers and/or using computer software to prepare record documents.
In this role you will report directly to the Resident Engineer and senior inspectors in managing project records through project closeout.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree AND/OR Bachelor's degree in Construction or Civil Engineering required.
7 to 10 years of related construction inspection experience.
Experience with SJTA, NJDOT, NJTA, County and/or municipal projects performing inspection of highway construction and/or structural components (bridges, retaining walls, sign structures), including earthwork, concrete and/or asphalt paving construction, drainage, water quality basins and utility construction.
EIT, NICET II or III certification is preferred.
Valid certifications in ACI Field Concrete Testing, NJ Society of Asphalt Technician certification (NJSAT) or (NECEPT), Rutgers TCP is desirable.
OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain.
Valid driver's license.
Strong English language skills, written and verbal.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 including Excel

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
