Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Processor. The role involves processing and ensuring that all loan applications from potential borrowers are accurately and promptly prepared for approval. This role requires an astute understanding of loan procedures and excellent customer service abilities.
Responsibilities:
Collecting and reviewing loan documents to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
Liaise efficiently with all parties involved, such as applicants, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors.
Evaluating applications to assess if potential borrowers meet loan criteria.
Collecting additional documentation and reviewing complex financial information.
Maintain thorough documentation of the loan process.
Ensure compliance with state and federal loan regulations.
Managing multiple loan files at various stages of the process.
Communicating loan status to all relevant parties.
Using loan processing software to efficiently track loan progress and report on loan characteristics.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A substantial experience in loan processing or a similar role.
Proficiency in mortgage lending and loan processing software.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local loan regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Proactive, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
