Manulife Electronic File Analyst in Halifax, Nova Scotia

As an integral part of Canadian Retirement team, the Electronic File Analyst is responsible for providing technical and analytical expertise to ensure the successful transmission and upload of electronic demographic and contribution data files on the Manulife administration system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Load demographic and contribution files accurately, handle reports, investigate errors, and ensure compliance with service standards.

  • Apply advanced technical skills to troubleshoot client issues, analyze data for compatibility and member impact, and provide expertise on systems and file protocols.

  • Liaise with clients, support, and internal teams to resolve data, system, and file issues, offering technical expertise during stakeholder meetings.

  • Accurately process transactions such as participant data, contributions, enrollments, and loan repayments, adhering to policies and quality control standards.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions and reporting, maintain client files, and provide compliance information for testing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Excel; preferably related to review, loading and/or manipulation of large data files requiring deep analysis and problem solving

  • University degree or comparable experience

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effectively work within a geographically dispersed team, leveraging knowledge across the organization and positively impacting inter-departmental relationships.

  • Knowledge of Retirement and/or Payroll Operations, SLX, and SQL is an asset; organized and efficient in fast-paced environments.

  • Self-starter with great initiative, ability to learn quickly and autonomously, and takes personal accountability for managing performance and customer requests.

  • Proven ability to adapt to changes within the business and organization, responding to challenges positively and productively.

  • Excellent customer service skills, maintaining the customer as a priority when creating solutions.

Salary range is expected to be between

$40,800.00 CAD - $68,000.00 CAD
