Rite of Passage CLINICAL Administrator in Haleiwa, Hawaii

Description

The Clinical Administrator is responsible for leading the service delivery of the residential treatment program. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring excellence in the operational and clinical delivery of services to all youth who enter the treatment program. In achieving excellence, this position shall ensure policies and procedures, training, hiring and staff positions are in place to support the highest standards of care and quality outcomes for our youth.

Pearl Haven (Ho`ōla Nā Pua) is a premier, specialized residential treatment center on the North Shore of Oahu. Pearl Haven is dedicated to treating girls with complex trauma who have been sexually exploited or at risk of exploitation.

  • Serves as the lead Administrator of the program with operational oversight of the program and facility.

  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with local and out of state referral and payer entities to promote Pearl Haven as an integral member of the system of care.

  • Designs and oversees an array of effective and evidence-based clinical programs and services designed to meet the individual and unique needs of the students served in the program. The Clinical Administrator shall ensure all services are culturally responsive and relevant.

  • Oversight of processes to collect and report on accurate and timely KPI’s.

  • Assures the continuity of care for students by making appropriate services are provide on site and referral relationships with outside entities are established and maintained.

  • Monitors, evaluates and corrects the daily performance of all program staff.

  • Reviews and analyzes current program elements, provides suggestions and direction to the Site Management Committee to ensure the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with agency licensing and Rite of Passage policies and procedures.

  • Assists in reviewing and responding to student grievances and allegations of abuse and neglect (all sites).

  • Works closely with the medical provider regarding emergency and non-emergency transfer for students experiencing acute mental health crisis. Coordinates memos of understanding and agreements with local referral agencies and hospitals to promote collaboration.

  • Responsible for hiring, evaluations, commendations, reprimands and dismissals regarding supervised staff.

  • Assists the Program Director and Clinical Director (determined by site) with developing supervised staff by creating, initiating and implementing training programs and action plans.

A strong candidate will possess at least three years of proven clinical leadership experience in working with teen girls or young adults with significant and complex trauma.

Relocation assistance available and could include:

  • Relocation reimbursement available up to 100% based on IRS regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or Human Services, Masters in Public Health or Healthcare Administration, Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) preferred.

  • Current State licensure - LCSW, LMFT or LPC along with CACIII preferred.

  • Specific to Betty Marler Youth Services Center: Prior experience with female substance abuse issues or Addictions Counselor certification required. FOR HAWAII: Prefer, but is not required, to be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as defined by the Hawaii Department of Health, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division

  • Five years of clinical and administrative experience in a hospital or residential setting preferred.

  • Manages time effectively and is approachable and a positive example for all staff.

  • Well organized and has ability to plan and anticipate needs of students and the program operations.

  • Critical thinking skills and effective communication with external and internal stakeholders.

  • The ability to effectively manage community relationships, build partnerships and strong working relationships with outside entities.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people and projects and has the ability to effectively manage conflict.

  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.
