Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $29-$34
Shift: M-F, 7am-3pm
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency and production levels. The role includes performing machine and line changeovers, maintaining accurate records, and troubleshooting equipment. You will work closely with management and Quality Control personnel to ensure production standards are met.
Responsibilities
Perform daily walk downs to ensure machines are at required efficiency and production levels.
Complete machine/line changeovers, including all downstream equipment to maintain production orders and levels per production schedule.
Assist Quality Control personnel in performing first piece quality checks and complete proper documentation.
Prepare in-house computer system with proper codes during the changeover process.
Maintain proper paperwork, logs, and records related to machine operations and maintenance.
Make complete machine changeovers and calibrations without assistance within specified time periods.
Work closely with management on processing new products and materials to determine proper standards.
Ensure proper levels of materials are introduced to the process during daily walk downs.
Collaborate with management on purchasing or repairing items for processing equipment.
Order and maintain inventory for processing equipment components.
Complete new and old product/material samples as requested.
Work closely with maintenance to ensure equipment meets industry standards.
Troubleshoot equipment regarding processing issues.
Fill in for other job duties/functions as requested.
Perform housekeeping duties during machine set-up to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor conditions, with exposure to extreme heat, noise, vibrations, moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation, and oils. The maintenance team consists of about 15 people within a total plant workforce of approximately 110 employees. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, hair nets, jeans, and a clear shirt. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.
