Conagra Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift in Hagerstown, Maryland
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must follow all JSA, GMP, PPE and Lockout/Tagout regulations
Maintain operational functions of plant machinery and equipment, ensuring Safety and Quality
Must be able to work from various heights on scaffolding, mechanical lifts, and ladders as a last resort
Follow plant safety and environmental regulatory compliance
Support delivery of brand quality and customer satisfaction
Must be able to obtain and sustain a forklift license
Must demonstrate excellent motivation, attitude, desire and performance in correcting machine failures, preventative maintenance and in developing working relationships with fellow employees and supervision
Prior experience should include strong mechanical background, working knowledge of electrical motors and industrial electrical controls, including design, wiring, and troubleshooting of advanced motor control and safety circuits
Must be proficient with variable frequency drives and troubleshooting
Must be able to read, interpret and work from schematics, sketches, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to analyze data and information, and to make effective and timely decisions
Ability to work with others to identify opportunities for improving machinery and maintenance systems
Ability to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency
Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, department manager, or plant leadership
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with PLC systems highly preferred
Welding and fabrication skills a plus
Knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration systems and PSM programs a plus
Certificate in Electro-Mechanical Technology or Mechatronics a plus.
