Mars, Incorporated Working Capital Senior Treasury Manager in Hackettstown, New Jersey

Job Description:

We are looking for a Working Capital Manager to join our Global Treasury Organization. As the Working Capital Treasury Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our organization's working capital processes. Your primary responsibility will be to provide continuous support in managing working capital and drive initiatives to improve overall efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop and implement plans that positively impact our financial performance. The successful candidate will have a strong financial background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in an international environment.

What are we looking for?
This role will provide leadership of the Finance work-stream within the existing working capital liquidity programs to ensure solid planning, clear communication, first-class project management and on time delivery of agreed targets, thus adding value to the wider business plan. In addition, this role will actively drive opportunities to implement further working capital improvement initiatives, to prepare business cases and gain approval from senior management for these new initiatives. This role will also ensure that all projects and process changes are well governed and reviewed from an accounting and risk management perspective and key metrics are monitored to review the effectiveness of the programs.


What will be your key responsibilities?
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast working capital trends and identify potential risks or opportunities.
Prepare regular reports and presentations on working capital performance for senior management covering all working capital metrics across the cash conversion cycle.
Conduct detailed analysis of working capital components and identify opportunities for improvement.

Identify and implement process improvements to streamline working capital processes.
Collaborate with various teams, such as finance, supply chain, and procurement, to implement working capital strategies.
Lead effectively the core teams for working capital programs in collaboration with cross functional teams as well as with the Director of Treasury Operations.
Manage reconciliation and presentation of any required disclosures for US GAAP reporting.
Manage credit capacity for working capital programs including Know Your Customer (KYC) requests.
Prepare, chair and participate in various internally and externally focused steering committee meetings with Senior leadership and external partners.
Establish world class controls for all innovations aligned with Global Process Owners with support from Accounting and Treasury leadership.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to working capital management.
Act as a subject matter expert on working capital topics and provide training to relevant stakeholders.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years practical experience ideally in both treasury and banking environment. Majors in Finance or Accounting preferred
Master degree preferred.
Track record in project management
Technical expertise in following areas: treasury banking, accounting and IT especially treasury functionality within SAP and Treasury Management Systems.
Excellent communication (both written and oral).
Strong computer skills, including banking systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools is required.
Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
Strong organizational skills and creative problem solver.
Ability to work in a multitasking environment and meet deadlines and clear understanding of the need to prioritize.
Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software/banking vendors.
