What you will do:

  • Research & Development, Concept development, and advanced prototyping for computing platforms inside medical devices or head-mounted devices which utilizes AI/ML models.

  • Design and optimize AI/ML models for deployment on resource-constrained embedded platforms, considering factors such as memory, processing power, and energy efficiency.

  • Develop GPU graphics and compute technologies spanning the full GPU software stack.

  • Evaluate and bring-up devices and work with Product and Engineering teams to define the role and requirements of the GPU in future product designs.

  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Technical Leader of designing, developing, and interface with manufacturing of devices, sub-systems, and technology

  • Perform algorithm evaluation and optimization to ensure efficient and accurate real-time performance of machine vision systems.

  • Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision, evaluate and propose innovative solutions to enhance our product offerings.

  • Document and communicate technical concepts, algorithms, and implementation details effectively to team members and stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical expertise to foster their professional growth.

  • Collaborate with Hardware teams on board bring-up, power management, and hardware debug.

  • Proficiency with Swift or similar embedded programming language.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and explain complex ideas clearly.

  • Experience writing or maintaining frameworks, libraries, or packages.

  • A strong foundation in algorithm development, computer science, and real-world programming.

  • Collaborate with the CV/ML team to design, prototype, evaluate, optimize, implement and deploy CV/DL algorithms as an integral part of AI-powered medical technologies for the operating room.

  • Participate in cutting-edge research in computer vision that can be applied to AR/xR product development.

  • Research and prototype state-of-the-art computer vision and deep learning methods to develop solutions that meets product requirements.

  • Design algorithm evaluation frameworks, schedule and report algorithm performance on a regular basis.

  • Formulate processes for choosing appropriate sensors based on requirements like cameras and developing image processing algorithms, with an emphasis on classical computer vision, 3D geometry, and deep learning.

  • Document and present progress in algorithm design, development, and evaluation (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/tests).

What you need:

  • ​​​​​Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical / Software / Computer Science or related discipline & 15+ years of work experience or

  • ​Master's / PhD degree in Electronics / Electrical / Software engineering / Computer Science or related discipline & 12+ years of work experience​​​​

  • 15+ years of experience Designing, Architecting, coding in any low level language, Embedded C/C++, Python etc.

  • Experience in developing, debugging, and integrating general embedded applications often interfacing with Bluetooth protocols/connectivity stack, sensors, and audio chip sets.

  • Collaborate with software vendors and cross-functional teams on complex system integration tasks to achieve efficient, cost-effective, and delightful product solutions.

  • Experience in developing, enhance and debugging bootloaders, operating systems, and device drivers.

  • Solid understanding of ML techniques, deep learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch), and computer vision.

  • Experience with hardware-software integration and optimization for embedded systems, including GPU acceleration, FPGA implementation.

  • Proficiency in working with popular embedded platforms, such as ARM-based systems-on-chip (SoCs) and microcontrollers.

  • Familiarity with image processing techniques, camera systems, and sensor integration.

  • Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development methodologies for embedded systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with product security.

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
