Primary Responsibilities:

  • Employees in this position are responsible for the execution of UHG’s Mobility and Tax programs for short term assignments, international relocations, business traveler tax support and international telecommuting support

  • End-to-End life cycle management of STAs & International Transfers from a tax standpoint. Responsibilities include but not limited

  • Act as first point of contact for tax process, policy to internal global mobility team and employees in addition to managing tax vendor support related queries

  • Monitor, review global tax compliance for tax services offered by UHG and triage as appropriate

  • Run Cost Projections and review approvals via the tool

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to work through any open items, such as initiate/authorize 3rd party vendor services and notifications to trigger internal processes where required

  • Ongoing assistance and support compliance and adherence to the global policies and guidelines

  • Management of global compensation service supporting shadow payroll by partnering with global payroll teams and tax vendor Responsibilities include but not limited

  • Collecting the data from the various compensation sources and managing the consolidation and importing of data into GMIT tool

  • Collection of the end process compensation reporting results including reconciliation of these files for any additional elements to be reported in compensation

  • The individual will have line of sight and understand the delivery structure of the compensation elements

  • Assist with the employee tax reports and payroll reports

  • Assists with the tax equalization process end to end: importing monthly receivable and payable data into GMIT tool, managing payments to employees by partnering with global payroll teams, closing receivables on a day-to-day basis

  • Working on tax deliverables like Certificates of coverage, review of vendor invoices, generating business intelligence reporting for leadership

  • Internal employee tax compliance governance: Sending internal email reminders to employees to mitigate tax compliance risk that come with cross border moves

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Master degree or business or accounting. (CA or CPA preferred) equivalent experience

  • Experience prioritizing & managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines

  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookup formulas, index-match-match, waterfall charts, etc.), MS Office product suite (PowerPoint presentations), and other technology tools

  • Ability to assist with the employee tax reports and payroll reports

  • Ability to assist with the tax equalization process end to end: importing monthly receivable and payable data into GMIT tool, managing payments to employees by partnering with global payroll teams, closing receivables on a day-to-day basis.

  • Ability to work on tax deliverables like Certificates of coverage, review of vendor invoices, generating business intelligence reporting for leadership.

  • Internal employee tax compliance governance: Sending internal email reminders to employees to mitigate tax compliance risk that come with cross border moves.

  • Solid tax, financial, analytical, and business acumen

  • Generate innovative approaches and solutions to business opportunities

  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others

  • Proven self-motivated; being comfortable with and having the ability to manage ambiguity

  • Proven excellent interpersonal relationship building and communication (written and verbal) skills
