Job Summary
Lattice Boom Crawler Crane Operator with experience driving piles using diesel and vibratory hammers on various bridge jobs across the state of Mississippi . Operator will be driving sheet, steel and concrete piles as needed. In addition, will be operating other heavy equipment. PLEASE NOTE PER DIEM IS PROVIDED.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate crawler cranes and heavy equipment in a safe and smooth manner.
· Hoisting, clam shell work, setting girders, swinging concrete and rebar.
· Use diesel hammers, vibratory hammers in pile driving, i.e. steel, concrete, sheet piles, etc.
· Safely positions swinging or fixed leads in position to drive piles
- Operate other heavy equipment; i.e. excavators, trackhoes and bulldozers.
- Break down, load/unload and assemble crane along with ground crew.
- Knowledgeable of rigging, determining rigging needed and crane signaling.
- Inspect crane and other equipment prior to operation, keep records of safety and operation checks.
- Notify management of safety concerns and repair needs immediately.
- Safely plan lifts.
- Train and mentor others in operation of crane and other heavy equipment
- This is not all encompassing. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) year minimum experience operating cranes
- Three (3) year minimum crane pile driving experience preferably on road and bridge construction using diesel and vibratory hammers
- Minimum three (3) years other heavy equipment experience
- Require minimal supervision
- Team Player
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Drug free and able to pass a drug screen at all times
- NCCO Certification a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 -- 55 per week

Experience:
- crane: 3 years (Required)
- Pile Driving: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
