UL, LLC Laboratory Chemist in Guangzhou, China
• Operate HPLC, elute DNPH tubes and analyze by HPLC, ensure the qualitative and quantitative accuracy of the analysis results.
• Maintain good communication with upstream and downstream to ensure smooth completion of projects. Adjust the work plan according to the workload, complete the work efficiently to meet promised date and avoid the backlog.
• Cooperate to complete urgent projects to meet customer needs.
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis for VOC substances by Using knowledge of mass spectrometry .
• Holds responsibility for Managing, daily maintenance and troubleshooting of HPLC.
• Holds responsibility for a variety of laboratory routine work, including consumables management, purchase and acceptance, reference material preparation, management and regular verification, etc.
• Understands and follows safe chemical hygiene practices
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited university through a formal program of study in Chemistry or related discipline including Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science but not limited to these disciplines only.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze special testing needs.
• Effective communication skills and ability
• Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must
• Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing
