Project Engineer Kentucky, USA * Ohio, USA Req #2022 Monday, February 3, 2025 Lumos is looking for a full-time Project Engineer! Under the supervision and direction of the Project Engineer Manager, this position is responsible for performing complex engineering tasks, including analyzing, evaluating, designing, planning, and modifying various aspects of telephone and telecommunication facilities and equipment. The Engineer will be tasked with designing GPON/XGS-PON, TDM, and Ethernet circuits across the Lumos network for data and voice services, including Internet, Ethernet, Network, VITAL/Illuminet, ILEC exchange territories, and Carrier End User. Additionally, they will assist with research and data cleanup as assigned by the Manager. This work will be conducted across multiple Resource Inventory Systems maintained by Lumos, including Granite, CHR, and VC4. * This is a fully remote opportunity, preferably available to professionals who work from home in Lumos's current footprint. Essential Functions Coordinate, schedule, and execute intra-departmental Operations engineering tasks, ensuring seamless workflow and project completion. Analyze complex engineering challenges while supervising company and contract engineers to drive efficiency and quality.
