Robert Half Quality Assurance Manager in Groton, Connecticut

Description

HYBRID POSITION - Candidates must reside in or near Groton, CT. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will serve as a pivotal figure, fostering proactive partnerships with our external supply business lines and clinical product development teams. Your role as a Quality Assurance Manager will be instrumental in maximizing the contribution of Global Quality Operations with our external contract vendors. Acting as the Vendor Point of Contact, the Quality Assurance Manager will assume responsibility for ensuring the quality management of approximately 25 contract manufacturers, packager contract test laboratories, and supply partners globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently negotiate, develop, and communicate quality requirements with contract vendors.

  • Provide quality system leadership to operational teams, driving process improvement and advancing new concepts and methodologies.

  • Guide, lead/co-lead projects, and manage own time to meet objectives, planning resource requirements for projects across the Department.

  • Assess operations executed at the supplier for adherence to regulatory requirements, Quality Agreement requirements, and expectations.

  • Conduct quality reviews and report on results or defined quality analytics to in-country Medical Management Platform Lines and Regional Medical Quality group as appropriate.

Requirements:

Hard Skills:

  • Vendor Quality Management Experience in the Pharma industry.

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP (not GCP).

  • Proficiency in project management.

  • Competence in MS Office.

Plus Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in relationship building.

  • Proficiency in negotiation techniques.

  • Experience in auditing.

  • Familiarity with SAP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; open to 5 years' experience in lieu of a degree.

Work Arrangement:

  • Hybrid: Required onsite 2-3 days per week; candidates must be local to the Groton Site.

  • Ability to support US and UK time zones.
