Job Description

The U.S. Government Contracts Operations Compliance Leader for Hydro Solutions is responsible for maintaining and further developing the compliance framework for doing business with the U.S. Government and ensuring the operationalization of the program to bid and execute contracts with the US Government compliantly.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, further develop, and continuously improve the compliance program and processes for U.S. Government Projects and Contracts including testing and monitoring

  • Own the “Working with the Government Enterprise Standard” for the business and ensure a full implementation of its requirements;

  • Lead a cultural change that propels a team of contracts and operations professionals to meet Hydro Solutions compliance requirements for U.S. Government contracts;

  • Ensure the team acquires and sustains appropriate knowledge and skills;

  • Ensure the team is curious about and trained to anticipate the latest developments in the U.S. Government acquisition system;

  • Nurture existing and cultivate new relationships development with key U.S. Government and prime contractor customers;

  • Oversee contract risks and assist the team to secure approved negotiation positions consistent with internal policies;

  • Serve as change agent by stimulating, communicating and institutionalizing continuous improvement and Lean philosophy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university;

  • Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience with U.S. Government contracts management and compliance practices working with and interpreting FAR/DFARS/CAS and respective government accounting rules, regulations, and policies;

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with U.S. Government Construction Projects and Contracts, including experience with United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) as well as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE);

  • Demonstrated experience with managing, providing guidance and training on U.S. Government rules and regulations in an international context;

  • Ability to provide advice, counsel, and coaching to operations team with interpreting and understanding the FAR/DFARS contracts;

  • Demonstrated experience in design and implementation of USG compliance monitoring system;

  • Demonstrated quality assurance or audit experience to assess programs for U.S. Government rules and regulations compliance;

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex U.S. Government compliance issues;

  • Ability to manage personnel issues and develop and implement a long-term workforce planning strategy;

  • Ability to establish relationships with key U.S. Government and prime contractor purchasing and decision-making personnel;

  • Security clearance or eligibility to obtain security clearance is preferred;

Please Note: The preferred Work Location Listed is Denver, CO. This role will report to the Hydro Global Compliance Leader. GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000-160,00 USD/year. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
