BASIC FUNCTION: This role is generally responsible for analyzing and evaluating credits for developing credit packages in conjunction with the Head of Credit Resolution. The Credit Resolution Relationship Manager will gather information necessary to make appropriate credit decisions, analyze credit and restructuring requests from start to finish, and obtain information from customers and third parties as necessary. Will serve as the main point of contact for resolving distressed credits. This position will compile the loan package, and with the Director of Credit Resolution make recommendations on loan and restructuring requests based on Association Underwriting Standards. Will complete analysis on various servicing actions on existing customers, such as restructures, extensions, forbearances, releases, assumptions, conversions, and charge offs . Responsible for management of existing designated loan portfolio as well as any new accounts transferred to the Credit Resolution Group. Provides training to credit staff and may serve as a member of or participate in loan committee meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Portfolio Management

Along with the Head of Credit Resolution, serves as the point of contact for all distressed loans.

Works with Underwriting to develop credit packages and loan servicing actions. Gathers information necessary to make appropriate credit decisions. Reviews and analyzes credit packages in conjunction with AAC Loan Underwriting Standards. Requests and reviews appraisal/field reports, obtain third party verifications, obtain credit reports, and request lien searches as necessary.

Completes loan analysis, including financial statements, cash flows, loan analysis forms, trend sheets, writing narratives, preparing facts, and offering opinions concerning credit worthiness, risks and mitigants, and other forms as required. Formulates projections using historical financial data, current budgets and other information.

Makes approval recommendations on loan actions based on Association Loan Underwriting Standards while complying Borrowers Rights Regulations. Participates in loan committee meetings as may be required.

Process foreclosures, bankruptcy and other litigation issues with customers. Manages acquired properties.

Prepares quarterly Loan Servicing Reports, High Attention Credit Reports as well as other CRG Reports as required to monitor the portfolio. Monitors, coordinates and maintains loan servicing information. Maintains and completes loan monitoring. Maintains current interest rate analysis, recommends follow-up actions when necessary. Monitor loan process. Provide backup to loan officers on customer service issues and responds independently to requests for information and assistance.

Acts as second line of defense in monitoring the Association's potentially distressed loans. Monitors the Distressed Loan Notices sent and assists lenders and underwriters as necessary to reach credit resolution. Follows-up on actions arising from the Portfolio Watch and other watch list meetings.

Determines and reviews legal documentation. Coordinates with all credit and approval departments as well as with attorney's and title companies on loan closings.

Assists with developing training to the Association staff on distressed loan management processes. Assist with branch staff in discussions about restructure and liquidation issues.

Assist with any special projects where a Credit Resolution employee is needed. Travel is required.
