Fujifilm Technical Maintenance Level 3 in Greenwood, South Carolina

Position Overview

We are hiring for a Maintenance Technician Level 3 role. This position is within the Imaging Division (ID) and provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services. The position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment safely and timely for the manufacturing of Personalized Photo products. The job title Maintenance Technician Level 3 will report to the Maintenance Supervisor in Greenwood, SC.

The Graphic Communication Division utilizes its extensive industry knowledge to develop fully supported traditional and digital print solutions for industries including commercial print, wide format, and packaging with its comprehensive line of digital inkjet presses, production toner printers, and software. The Industrial Products Division delivers new products derived from Fujifilm technologies including data storage tape products, including OEM and FUJIFILM Ultrium LTO cartridges, desalination solutions, microfilters and gas separation membranes. The Non-Destructive Testing Division delivers radiography solutions to ensure high accuracy inspection of transportation infrastructure, and assets within aerospace, and oil and gas industries.

FNAC-ID Personalized Photo Products Group (PPPG) now makes more than 450 personalized items (such as coffee mugs, posters, framed prints, canvas wall décor and more). PPPG provides a turnkey, back-end service of producing these items for a variety of retail and online customers.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment.

  • Perform Predictive and Preventive Maintenance to increase equipment uptime.

  • Complete work orders and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and practices and complying with legal codes and regulations.

  • Work with the Production Management Team on equipment repair priorities based on overall customer demand and service level agreement-SLA.

  • Lead projects including new equipment installations and facility layout changes.

  • Identify, propose, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

  • Mentor Maintenance Technician Level 1 & 2

  • Communicates effectively, efficiently, and appropriately with all employees.

  • Follows established Environmental/Health/Safety (EHS) guidelines as pertains to safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Completes all paperwork required according to procedures.

  • Cross training into other areas of production equipment may be needed based on business needs.

Required Skills/Education

  • Associate degree or trade certification (s), preferred and 5+ years of relevant Industrial Maintenance experience in one of the following disciplines: Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Networking/Infrastructure, Robotics, Hydraulics, or PLC or a combination.

  • Knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools.

  • Advanced mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to read and comprehend service manuals and equipment schematics.

  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of computers/networking.

  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and in a teamwork environment.

  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including three shifts, holidays, and weekends as dictated by the business needs.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, production oriented, team environment.

  • The position requires a focus on quality and detail.

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, root cause, waste, Gemba, etc.

  • Previous industry-based experience.

  • Strong Communication Skills.

  • Strong Organizational Skills.

  • Communicates effectively, efficiently, and appropriately with all employees.

  • Collaborate with the team about ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
