Job Description:
Industrial Engineers will employ techniques and methods to assist functional management in implementing improvements to the manufacturing process in terms of productivity, quality, and cycle times.
Essential Functions:
Perform work measurement, process flow analysis, and develop/implement tools/methods for measuring productivity and program cost performance
Pull, analyze, and report data to support Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management in making key decisions
Develop, validate, implement, and maintain labor standards for a variety of manufacturing and supply chain processes
Work jointly with cross-functional engineering groups performing concurrent engineering and producibility analysis
Implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing techniques
Communicate excellently across all levels (both written and verbal)
Learn quickly and adapt to new environments
Develop manufacturing work standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (in Industrial Engineering or similar field) and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Graduate Degree or equivalent (in Industrial Engineering or similar field) with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
Along with being fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications, it is desirable for the individual filling this position to possess the following:
The ability and drive to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Application of analytical/statistical techniques such as regression analysis and linear programming
Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or supply chain/logistics methods and processes
Work experience in non-repetitive, design-to-order manufacturing environments
Six Sigma Belt (Yellow, Green or Black) and/or Lean Expert Certification
