Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Leader to join our Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain organization located in Wilson, North Carolina.

While this role will ultimately support the site operations located in Wilson NC, this role will also be required to support the project phase across both design & construction. For the project design phase, the role will require you to be present with our design teams in the Greater Philadelphia region. Once the design phase is completed, this role will support the construction and operational start-up of the site. For this, you will be required to be on site in Wilson, NC. Based on your current location the hiring team will work with you to determine travel and relocation arrangements. In steady state, we expect travel to be less than 10%.

This Warehouse & Logistics Leader is responsible for Warehouse and Logistics Operations as well as execution of company strategies in these areas. Provides leadership and direction for warehouse, logistics and manufacturing resources and activities to maximize quality, safety, and reliability of the warehouse. Partner with all support functions in the execution of meeting the production schedule, shipments and deliveries, as well as identification and on-time completion of Operations projects/initiatives. Leads the Warehouse and Logistics organization in continuous improvement of the plant's supply chain capabilities. Accountable for achieving production targets while maintaining cost controls and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Warehouse and Logistics organization to achieve delivery of accurate production schedules, on-time shipments to fill-finish sites, coordination and support of incoming and outgoing shipments for the campus, and development of long-term strategies that are align with network needs.

  • Monitors production output against customer due dates and initiates action to prevent missed commitments.

  • Examines production and operating reports to assess potential risks and oversees actions taken to resolve safety, operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems.

  • Establishes priorities and sequence of projects to deliver on KPI’s relative to cost, quality, safety, schedule attainment and on-time shipments.

  • Establishes a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance metrics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices.

  • Establishes department policy, standard operations procedures and working practices, as well as responsible for ensuring all applicable permits are current and followed.

  • Develops compliance programs to ensure the organization follows all regulatory and compliance standards and establishes the training requirements for all employees. Makes sure training plans are also aligned with areas in need of improvement.

  • Directly responsible person during internal and external audits (e.g. Compliance audit, Internal audit) and able to articulate and walk auditors through all processes in detail.

  • Establishes organization talent strategy to include goals and objectives, performance and development plans, and succession planning.

  • Holds people leaders accountable for performance management, personnel development and timely completion of 5 Conversations.

  • Establishes and monitors plant's operational budget. Initiates effective cost control practices.

  • Collaborates with Engineering & Maintenance to review recommendations regarding equipment repair and/or replacement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • B.S. degree

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferably in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry

  • Proven experience in managing and developing teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in both spoken and written English.

  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior, aligned with Credo-based principles.

  • Build strong, productive relationships and work effectively with teams and individuals, treating everyone with dignity and respect.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and support the growth and development of colleagues within the operations business units.

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of FDA and EMEA regulatory requirements applicable to biologics and pharmaceuticals.

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
