System One Piping Designer in Greentree, Pennsylvania

The Piping Designer is responsible for the technical support, organization and execution of a variety of consulting engineering assignments with primary responsibilities in the field of piping engineering and design. Responsibilities:

  • Following in-house standards and specifications for piping design; preparation and support of mechanical/piping design documents.

  • Work within design specifications

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with internal project team members and external clients.

  • Provide cross functional technical support in areas of piping design.

  • Familiarization of with various industrial design codes and standards.

  • Prepare for review technical memos, investigation reports, drawings, procedures, laboratory testing programs, maps and engineering assessments.

  • Utilize in-house and licensed software for data management and report preparation.

  • Assist and perform 3D laser scanning of piping.

  • Develop Plant 3D/AutoPlant/Smartplant scale model.

  • Develop electronic pipe specification for Plant 3D

  • Project setup in Plant 3D

  • Provide conceptual drawings, piping models and bill of materials for estimates

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years working experience.

  • AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Smartplant

  • Able to conduct detailed calculations to ensure that designs meet engineered standards and applicable codes

  • Industries: Refinery, Mining, Power plant, Chemical plants, O&G
