System One Piping Designer in Greentree, Pennsylvania
The Piping Designer is responsible for the technical support, organization and execution of a variety of consulting engineering assignments with primary responsibilities in the field of piping engineering and design. Responsibilities:
Following in-house standards and specifications for piping design; preparation and support of mechanical/piping design documents.
Work within design specifications
Develop and maintain strong working relationship with internal project team members and external clients.
Provide cross functional technical support in areas of piping design.
Familiarization of with various industrial design codes and standards.
Prepare for review technical memos, investigation reports, drawings, procedures, laboratory testing programs, maps and engineering assessments.
Utilize in-house and licensed software for data management and report preparation.
Assist and perform 3D laser scanning of piping.
Develop Plant 3D/AutoPlant/Smartplant scale model.
Develop electronic pipe specification for Plant 3D
Project setup in Plant 3D
Provide conceptual drawings, piping models and bill of materials for estimates
Requirements:
5+ years working experience.
AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Smartplant
Able to conduct detailed calculations to ensure that designs meet engineered standards and applicable codes
Industries: Refinery, Mining, Power plant, Chemical plants, O&G
