University of Pittsburgh Medical Surgical Clinical Faculty in Greensburg, Pennsylvania
The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing at Greensburg is seeking qualified applicants for part time clinical instructors with expertise in medical surgical/critical care nursing for the fall semester, beginning August 2024.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master of Science in Nursing (completed or in progress)
• Candidates without a graduate degree (BSN) may be considered when fully qualified faculty are not available and shall teach under the guidance of another qualified faculty member in the department
• Candidates without a graduate degree in nursing shall have a baccalaureate degree in nursing AND evidence of a plan for obtaining a graduate degree in nursing within a 5 year period
• A current, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Recent clinical experience in medical-surgical/critical care nursing care is required
• Clinical teaching experience is preferred
The School of Nursing clinical instruction includes up to 25% of clinical hours of simulation. Simulations are conducted on the UPG campus. On-campus attendance and participation in simulation activities under the guidance of full-time faculty is required.
