Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Greensboro, NC . This position will be responsible for the coordination required to ensure the timely order processing, product movement and delivey of products. Work is focused on customer satisfaction (internal and external) and achievement of long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in order taking and ensure customers product request are met. Input contracts and update customer shipping profiles in SMARTsoft as needed.

  • Coordinate with customers and vendors regarding shipment details.

  • Coordinate with operations to ensure inventory quantity, quality, and storage availability.

  • Coordinate with transportation to determine rates and equipment availability.

  • Create, update, close and cancel load orders in SMARTsoft.

  • Provide information and authorization numbers to customers and vendors.

  • Validate after the fact non-freight accruals on tickets in SMARTsoft.

  • Wok with sales team to trouble shoot and resolve accounts receivable issues.

  • Audit and perform contract maintenance regarding open balances, closing balances, rolls, etc.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • BS Degree AgriBusiness, Business, or Transportation (preferred)

Experience Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of customer service experience

  • Understanding of Sales and Marketing concepts

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong negotiating skills

  • Understanding of standard software applications

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Normal climate controlled office spaces. Able to operate a motor vehicle and travel to and from customer locations. Able to use standard office equipment to include telephone, computers, copiers etc. Able to move freely about plant and customer facilities. May be exposed to external weather conditions to include rain, snow and extreme temperatures (0 - 100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), and noise (50db to 100db). Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
