Title: Employee Relations Advisor

The Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for employee relations services across the various VF businesses. Under broad supervision the advisor will:

  • Provide employees with support and guidance to address their concerns in areas including teamwork, communication, and leadership among others.

  • Support managers with associate development by providing guidance on coaching, counseling, and performance management.

  • Conduct internal investigations on workplace situations based on allegations of violations of VF Code of Conduct and policies, grievances, and poor performance complaints. Prepares all required documentation with a focus on issue resolution within assigned region/area.

  • Analyze allegation complaints, research policies and historical resolutions, interview colleagues/witnesses, review documentation and provide recommendations on disciplinary actions plans to ensure fair and consistent outcomes.

  • Partner with managers on the development of corrective action and implementation of performance improvement plans.

  • Responsible for preparing and delivering separation documents to employees leaving involuntarily.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships in dealing with sensitive and confidential information and situations.

  • Partner with peers include HRBPs, HRIS, payroll, business leaders, legal partners and other subject matter experts across the organization.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related fields preferred

  • 1-3 years of corporate experience preferred

  • Understanding of retail operations is a plus

  • Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, Reporting, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of labor and employment laws

  • Experience in conflict resolution, investigations protocol and practices

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Travel by air and overnight, as required 5%+ amount of time VF locations amount of time.

Hiring Range :

$57,600.00 USD - $72,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
