JOB REQUIREMENTS: As an Apprentice Painter you will be trained on how to prepare all types of truck bodies for final paint application. To prep the material for painting you will be sandblasting the piece and taping off designated areas of the piece to ensure there is no overspray during the painting process. Once the piece is ready for painting you will be expected to mix and apply the paint with a sprayer with minimal assistance. After the paint has dried you will be assemble and test functions of lighting and equipment. Individuals with a mechanical background in automotive painting, welding, automotive electrical and having used sandblasting and industrial painting equipment are strongly encouraged to apply. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Possesses at least one of many type of paint application certificates. a. PPG Certification 21 on repairs/color blending Finishes b. DuPont Imron c. Commercial finishing d. High solids e. DuPont Refinish Colormatch 2. Possesses the ability to figure paint codes and calculate the proper mixtures with the computer system. 3. Possesses the business knowledge to handle customer satisfaction issues within proper guidelines and maintain perfect customer relations 4. Possesses the ability to help all other technicians with any paint application questions, and or problems 5. Ability to provide all necessary information needed for product procurements on all repairs and have knowledge to complete minor estimates in the absence of a supervisor 6.
