Cross Border B2B Product Manager (Product Development)

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead the development and launch of an innovative cross border B2B product for bank customers at Mastercard. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging Mastercard's product development framework to achieve strategic objectives. This position offers substantial growth potential within a new product domain, providing unique opportunities for rapid learning and career development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead specific elements of the proposition and product development lifecycle, including defining business requirements and designing business processes.

• Collaborate with the product co-founder to shape the product strategy and roadmap.

• Engage closely with product owners and engineering teams to efficiently iterate on business and functional requirements.

• Own the high-level User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy and plan, prioritising customer needs.

• Manage Studio-related activities across diverse functional partners and regions.

• Evaluate market dynamics to continually validate customer value propositions and refine the product roadmap.

• Define new customer onboarding processes in collaboration with customer delivery and product integration teams.

• Support the product co-founder and commercial teams in Go-To-Market (GTM) activities and presales engagements with customers.

• Conduct workshops with customers and internal stakeholders to gather and refine new requirements.

General Role:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Management - Technical, Software Development) to design, develop, and launch revenue-driving products.

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business context, regulatory landscapes, competition, and technology trends.

• Utilise the Studio Framework to rapidly frame ideas, develop concepts, and validate market opportunities.

• Partner with Legal, Data Privacy, Delivery, Finance, Marketing, and Sales teams to create robust go-to-market plans.

• Ensure end-to-end servicing excellence by partnering with servicing teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.

• Lead commercialisation efforts, facilitating a smooth transition with a detailed 18-month roadmap for CX, revenue, and product quality enhancements.

• Drive knowledge management through consistent product documentation within the Studio framework.

• Continuously enhance skills through learning and development initiatives.

• Champion product management excellence and share best practices within the organisation.

• Exhibit Mastercard Way behaviours in all interactions.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of clear working knowledge in cross border payments, correspondent banking, Swift, and RTGS systems.

• Proficiency in ISO 20022 messaging is highly advantageous.

• Prior experience in payment solutions providers (e.g., Finastra, Volante) or payment service providers (e.g., Western Union, Convera) is preferred.

• Background in fintech startups or developing products for banks is a distinct advantage.

• Track record of developing new products or solutions and creating high-quality customer-facing deliverables.

Skills:

• Exceptional written, oral, organisational, and analytical skills with acute attention to detail.

• Proven ability to define business requirements and drive initiatives independently.

• Adept at collaborative work across functional teams to achieve collective goals.

• Proficiency in Aha! or similar product management tools.

• Highly organised with strong project management capabilities to track progress effectively.

• Skilled in presenting product concepts to senior executives internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• Experience in designing and implementing rapid prototyping for regional or local products.

• Strong understanding of underlying platform capabilities and limitations through feature execution.

• Expertise in market data collection and insights development for product differentiation and competitive strategies.

• This role does not require prior experience in engineering, operational roles, or specific card payment products.
