The general role of the Electrical Inspector is to inspect customer facilities, company job sites (when required), and tool trucks to ensure that electricity is safely utilized throughout all phases of construction. The Inspector will also verify that electrical systems, workmanship, and equipment are compliant with codes, regulations, project specifications and Beitzel Corporation quality standards. Inspections may include, but not are not limited to industries such as: Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Factories, Plants, Coal, Wind Energy, Commercial etc.This position will require a flexible schedule that includes extensive travel with some out-of-town work and must be willing to work extended hours to include weekends, holidays, and evenings.

This individual will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of industrial electrical work and must be proficient with the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation and must be flexible and willing to work extended hours as needed.

The Electrical Inspector will report to the Group Manager- Electrical Services and will work primarily out of the Beitzel Corporate location.

Responsibilities

Inspect, identify, recommend, and perform repairs (per customers request) to defects in electrical systems, components, and equipment throughout various industrial applications and projects Conduct tool inspections for company and customer electrical tool trucks Effectively communicate issues, questions, or concerns to the customer onsite personnel and to Electrical Services management Interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards and properly apply them throughout inspections and surveys Provide detailed field reports, inspection reports, paperwork, and documentation for both the company and the customer in a timely manner Assist in other areas of the company and perform other duties as assigned Identifies potential new business opportunities Stay up-to-date on changing rules and regulations

Qualifications

Must possess a valid State of West Virginia Office of Miners Health, Safety and Training, Certified Electrician Card Must possess a valid U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration, Qualified Electrician Card Must possess a TWIC and OSHA 30 certification State Master Electricians license preferred (MD preferred) Minimum - 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or residential electrical construction code compliance inspection preferred Prior industry experience in Industrial Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Factories, Plants, Coal Industry, Wind Energy, etc. is preferred but not required Possess a working knowledge of meters and instruments to conduct ground bed and ground equipment checks Posses the knowledge and skills necessary to make electrical repairs so that customers can successfully pass electrical inspections Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Possess the ability to utilize a wide array of tools and diagnostic devices to effectively trouble-shoot; identify root cause; and recommend corrective action Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuitry, and schematics Willing and able to work a flexible schedule that include travel with some out-of-town stay, extended work hours with occasional weekend and call-out work Must be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Must be able to work well independently and with others as part of a team
