Job Summary
The EMT is accountable for performing basic life support service and emergency response calls in accordance with the established Minnesota Department of Health Standards, following standing orders and ambulance protocols.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Healthcare experience preferred.
EMT Services experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Minnesota State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification required upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
Valid Driver’s License required upon hire.
National Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification preferred.
Work Schedule
Varied 12 hour shifts
PRN - work as needed, per department policy
Must be able to take call at least times/month, which includes one weekend
Must attend month meetings
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$18.25 - $24.00 per hour
