Process Technician
Pay Rate - $30/hr. - $35/hr.
Job Description
The Process Technician coordinates the machine operations in the assigned section to ensure that proper operating and safety procedures are being followed. This role promotes the company’s goal of producing a quality product in a safe and efficient manner. The Process Technician is responsible for the direct supervision of assigned production personnel, working with them to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and assigning tasks suited to their skill levels to help them advance within the system.
Responsibilities
Complete appropriate paperwork to document production activities and results so the company can evaluate efficiencies and identify potential problem areas.
Monitor each machine based on production cards and inspection sheets, taking necessary actions to alleviate production and machine problems to promote product quality and contain costs.
Ensure that machinery and tooling receive normal maintenance to minimize downtime.
Assist setup personnel as needed to ensure adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
Supervise and direct all machine operators daily to ensure that production schedules and quality control standards are met.
Assign, evaluate, and work with associates to assist them with production problems, provide them with new opportunities, and enhance their job satisfaction and commitment to the company.
Enforce all safety procedures and regulations to create a safe environment and minimize company liability.
Recommend equipment changes and modifications to improve operating efficiency and control costs.
Essential Skills
Experience with GMP.
Knowledge of assembly operations.
Ability to troubleshoot production issues.
Experience with plastic molding and injection molding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to operate and maintain assembly equipment.
Ability to follow complex instructions and supervise hourly workers effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to troubleshoot and solve injection molding processes and tooling issues.
Experience in supervising and directing production personnel.

Work Environment
The work environment is climate controlled except for areas right next to the machines, which can get warm. The facility is fairly loud due to the machines, but ear plugs and other PPE are provided. Duties are performed indoors throughout the general production area. The employee must be able to move throughout the production floor to required workstations and occasionally transport, position, or install objects. The role may require ascending or descending onto machines and working at floor level. Tasks may be performed at or above shoulder level and may involve the use of tools. The employee will need to inspect equipment, identify and distinguish colors, and determine distances and spatial relationships. The role also involves operating office equipment such as a computer, copy machine, and phone. Effective communication with others for various production needs is essential.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grandview, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
